About Me

I am currently on my Senior year pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Health Services Administration, after transferring from University of Puerto Rico in the aftermath of Hurricane Maria. My studies and practical experiences have catalyzed my passion to pursue the goal of designing and managing sustainable healthcare systems which are aligned with the needs of vulnerable and culturally diverse populations. The critical need for this became clear to me as I volunteered to work with displaced dialysis patients and communities where diabetics and elderly patients had been left without access to medicines, food, water, and assistance after Hurricanes Irma and Maria stormed through Puerto Rico and the Caribbean.
